Dallas Cowboys

Dallas Cowboys

Tony Romo I am a tremendous Dallas Cowboys fan. I have been ever since I was old enough to know what a football was. Sometimes being a Cowboys fan can be a wonderful thing, sometimes not. One thing that I can say though is that I have never abandoned my Cowboys. My philosophy has always been that if you are not with them during the Bad times, you have no right to be with them during the good times. And it looks as though the good times are about to roll.
Tony Romo continues to amaze everyone with his progress. With each passing game he gets more confident. He is very elusive in the pocket and difficult to sack. His passing is growing more accurate and he is making better decisions than ever before. He is proving to be the Cowboys quarterback of the future. Barring injury, he should take us deep into the playoffs and possibly....dare I dream? Maybe all the way.

Dallas Stars

A lot of folks didn't think that hockey would ever take root here in Texas.  Boy were they wrong.  The hockey fans here in Dallas are as rabid as anywhere in Canada.  There just aren't quite as many of us.  I don't know if you could call me rabid, but I certainly support the Stars.  In Dallas, the Cowboys will always be king, but the Stars have certainly found their way into the hearts of many a fan around here.  I was watching when Brett Hull scored the winning goal against Buffalo back in 2000.   Now, the new season is about to begin and the slate is clean.  Hopefully things will be better this year.

Stars

Dallas Mavericks

NBA Finals 2006 The Dallas Mavericks were the joke of the NBA for many years.  No one is laughing now.  With formidable stars like Jason Terry, Josh Howard, and Devin Harris, not to mention the number one MAV, Dirk Nowitzki, they have proven themselves to be one of the top teams in the NBA.  They are almost unbeatable when they are at the top of their game.  The next thing that they need to beat is their reputation for not being able to win the big one.  They breezed their way into the 2005-2006 finals knocking down everything in their path.
It looked as if they would sweep the hapless Miami Heat until they gave up 4 straight.  They didn't do much better last year going down to the eventual champions, the San Antonio Spurs.  I hope that they do better this year.

Texas Rangers

The Texas Rangers have been up and down for the last several years. After going to the World serices for 2 straight years and losing, the team began to get dismantled. Hey players like Hamilton, Napoli and Young were traded off for younger players, many of whom were a bust. Now some of those players are returning. Napoli and Hamilton are back and the wins seem to be coming back as well. Not quite where they were, but definitely on the road to recovery. Go Rangers!
